Spread Your Wings at Winter Wonderlearn
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Courtice Public Library
For those looking for an activity that is both fun and educational, visit Winter WonderLearn at the Courtice branch of the Clarington Public Library. This year’s theme is flight; enjoy interactive activities and learn about the skies! Look through a telescope, make “bird-brained” artwork, and see live owls and raptors. This free event takes place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Family Day, more details are available on the Clarington Public Library website.
Hit the Slopes at Brimacombe
Open 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Rated “The Best Snow in the Business” by the Canadian Ski Council, Brimacombe offers some of the best skiing in the GTA! Brimacombe has 21 runs and trails ready to be enjoyed by skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities. They will be open on Family Day from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and have more information available on their website.
Try Something New at Joey’s World Indoor Playground
Open 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Escape the cold and keep the kids busy with a visit to Durham’s largest indoor family playground. From conquering a 20-foot rock wall, to testing out their new “Sky Trekking” and making new friends in the play structure, a trip to Joey’s World is sure to be a memorable experience. Explore Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park

Since 1983, Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park has been offering visitors the unique opportunity to see and experience wild species, many threatened with extinction, in an up-close and personal environment. Professional staff are available and always eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm.
