Luckily, Clarington’s Tourism Team is here to help you plan your days. Mark your calendars for these Festivals and Events coming up in Clarington this June and July!

Picnic Picasso-023Concerts in the Park

Clarington is fortunate to have four communities, which contribute to the Concerts in the Park series: Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle and Newtonville. Check out the schedule of bands at each location, and don’t forget your lawn chair!

June 17-19 | Canadian Historic Grand Prix
Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

Organized by the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC), this annual historic auto racing event features beautifully restored cars from the past 50+ years of motorsports.  The feature this year will be The Flat 6 versus The V8, European Precision against American Muscle.  Other classes include Open Wheel, Historic & Vintage Production, Sports Racers and Group 70+ are also on the schedule for Canada’s biggest annual Vintage Festival.

 June 25-26 | Weekend of Wreckage
 Orono Fair Grounds

Bringing you an action packed weekend with two days of Demolition Derby and three days of camping!

July 2-3 | Spartan Race
2015-07-18 12.00.12Spartan Race Canada returns to Brimacombe! If you like our snow you will LOVE our mud! Challenge yourself in one of the most gruelling obstacle course races held right here on the slopes of Brimacombe!

July 7-10 | Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

Canada’s biggest sports car race of the year, featuring the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for exotic prototypes and GT race cars, makes its only Canadian stop.  Also in action over the four day event is the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and many more!

July 9-10 | 9th Annual Newcastle Art Show
Newcastle Memorial Arena

‘A Gift of Art’ will present its 9thAnnual Art Show at the Newcastle Arena at the corner of Edward and Baldwin Streets in Newcastle.  Admission is free.  Browse through the exhibitions, stop at the kid’s activity center, or go on a scavenger hunt! There will be door prizes, live music and a demonstration!

July 23 | 22nd Annual Wooden Boat FestivalWoodBoat22
Port of Newcastle

Join us for our annual Wooden Boat Festival at the Port of Newcastle Marina! Free admission, boat and vendors displays, children’s games and more.
